BLOGGED: You And I Ought To Make It Through 2012 →
A very cheesy and somewhat serious start to the new year..because I promised myself I would write and draw the way I honestly want to, despite what other people might say or think :)
You and I ought to make it through 2012 because you have worn down an impenetrable barrier. Though it might be more accurate to say that, if I were the Millennium Falcon, I happily turned off my shield generators ...

Can’t go to the farm and not take at least one joyride on the golfcart
Candid photos taken by my cousins turned out real nice :) It’s really a shallow joy of mine to have decent photos of myself on my camera. Rarely happens!

After getting my hair done
Mama: You know, if I were your age and I had your hair, I'd get edgier haircuts!
Me: ..oh I'm sorry, was my fauxe hawk a coupla months ago too boring for you, mama? :))

BLOGGED: New Year Prep →
It’s that time of the year again..when people start thinking of their New Year resolutions and the internet is bursting with articles on how to make the coming year better than the last :) It’s one of my favorite things to do over the Christmas holiday -look back on what’s happened and try to figure out what to do next.

BLOGGED: Surprise! →
I don’t particularly like people who always try to act too cool about things; people who simply smile and mumble a polite “Okay, thanks” without a little break in their voice. I like boys who flail about when you get them a sweater they’ve always wanted, who get all excited when you go out for gelato, and cry a bit when they see all their favorite people in one...

Santa Claus
First Christmas without you? No, you were still there. I love you. I miss you.
And on the day Christ was born to bring us Eternal Life, we will send you back to be with Him. Merry Christmas, lolo. I’m sorry I keep crying, still.
Let go.
And if there are negative things around, or people who somehow cause you to act a way you absolutely don’t want to act, simply do yourself a favor and stay away from them.
It’s okay. It’s nobody’s fault when we’re all admittedly kind of crazy and kind of holding onto bad feelings. We just need to spend time apart so we don’t self destruct altogether.
I...

Goal Setting
It’s almost the end of 2011, and it’s about time for me to evaluate the year that has passed..and make plans for the year to come.
One big factor will definitely be that talk I got to have with my highschool Literature teacher. She dropped by the wake tonight because she and her husband were friends with my older cousins and her husband currently works with my tito (tiny world) She...
On one hand, you can think that it is so sad that he passed on before...

I really needed to hear that, tonight.

Worst Christmas ever
I wanted to read your book and tell you on Christmas eve how amazing I think you are. I’ll still finish the book..I just don’t know how to feel the Christmas spirit anymore.. Making your tribute video for the wake is so bittersweet. You lived such a great life, lolo.

"I nearly died"
And despite how long our to-do lists might be, how stressful our submissions seem, and how tired we may get..there are bigger things to worry about in life, like the taxi cab driver falling asleep at the wheel and almost killing himself and your boyfriend on his way home from your house.
Death (and close encounters with it) just always puts my priorities and anxieties into perspective
Hindsight
Things, admittedly, got so crazy and there really was a time that I did not know what to do or how to do what I knew I had to do. There was a time I just wanted to crawl under my blanket and hide. In fact, there was a day that I really just cried in my boyfriend’s arms all the way home.
But I’m glad I didn’t give up, because everything was worth it. I can say that even before...
